Dec. 9, 2024—Representatives from the Abiding Fellowship Christian Church visited Holbrook Elementary School on Nov. 20 to officially announce their Adopt-a-School partnership with the campus.
CFISD’s Adopt-a-School program pairs schools with community organizations and business partners to utilize resources of the community to strengthen and enrich the quality of education for students.
Steven Stone, pastor of Abiding Fellowship Christian Church, expressed how much it means to adopt Holbrook.

“At Abiding Fellowship Christian Church, we believe in meeting people where they are, Stone said. “Our partnership with Holbrook Elementary School reflects that mission. Together, we are sowing seeds of hope, support and love in the lives of students, staff and families while showing compassion through our actions and commitment.”
Becky Mendez, Holbrook principal expressed her gratitude to Abiding Fellowship for their commitment to supporting the campus.
“We are extremely thankful for Abiding Fellowship Church’s partnership with Holbrook Elementary,” Mendez said. “We are excited to welcome Pastor Stone and the congregation of Abiding Fellowship Church to our Cougar family. We look forward to working together with Abiding Fellowship Church!”
